Head of Business Development & Integrated Management Systems (Elabo Excellence)

I started at Elabo as an external consultant with the task of analyzing the existing, largely undocumented business processes and identifying weaknesses. Based on my comprehensive analysis and the optimization concept I presented, I was offered a permanent position to lead the transformation of the company under the "Elabo Excellence" program.

My core responsibilities and results:

  • Introduction of the EFQM model: As a strategic framework for corporate development, I introduced the principles of the EFQM model to steer a systematic     movement toward business excellence.
  • Development of an integrated management system (IMS): I designed and implemented a process-oriented, integrated management system for quality (ISO 9001), environment, and occupational safety. This replaced the previous, purely document-centered way of working (Word/Excel) and created transparent,     efficient processes.
  • Project management for ERP implementation: I led the company-wide strategic project to implement the Navision ERP system (MS Business Solutions), from process definition and implementation to go-live.
  • Establishment of a culture of improvement: By introducing and managing a continuous improvement process (CIP), a culture of constant optimization was established throughout the company.
  • Operational quality management: I was responsible for all operational QM issues, from supplier quality (supply chain quality) and complaint management to sampling, test planning, and execution.

Reason for leaving:
After a change in management by the holding company led to a fundamental change in the strategic direction of the company, which was no longer compatible with the excellence approach I had established and successfully implemented, I decided to leave the company.

Project impact:
I transformed Elabo from a functional organization with loose processes into a process-oriented company that consistently adheres to the principles of business excellence according to EFQM. The introduction of the ERP system in combination with the new IMS led to a significant increase in efficiency, transparency, and quality throughout the company.
