I was hired by FESTO as an external consultant and coach to support the development of a strategic, reusable software platform for safety-related applications. The focus of my work was not on developing specific features, but on creating a robust and standards-compliant development system.

My core responsibilities and contributions:

• Development of methods and strategies: I designed a generic methodology for the development of safety software platforms. This included defining processes, selecting development tools, and establishing quality standards to ensure subsequent certifiability.
• Coaching and quality consultancy: I acted as an active coach for the development teams to raise awareness and competence for the special requirements of safety development.

Project completion:
During my time at the company, I established a solid methodological foundation for platform development. The project was terminated prematurely after FESTO made a strategic decision not to pursue the internal development of this software platform. My assignment ended as a result of this realignment and due to illness.

Project impact:
The strategies and methodologies developed provided FESTO with a clear blueprint for the structured development of safety-critical platform software.
