Project: Modernization of the QM system and success fulsupport of the DAkkS audit
Client: E&C Testlab GmbH
Period: May 2023 – August 2023
Role: Interim Quality Manager
I was asked by the management of E&C Testlab GmbH to take on the strategically important role of Quality Manager on a short-term and interim basis. The main challenge was to prepare the company for the upcoming comprehensive DAkkS surveillance audit while modernizing and digitizing the existing QM processes.
My core responsibilities and results:
- Agile implementation of a central QM system: To quickly create transparency and audit security, I set up a modern, centralized QM system in CONFLUENCE. This enabled the structured recording and management of all quality-relevant processes and documents and replaced the previous file-based organization.
- Responsible management of the DAkkS audit: As the main contact for the audit team, I successfully guided the company through the intensive five-day audit process (with four auditors and a total of nine audit days). I presented the audited areas, provided the necessary evidence from the newly created system, and served as the interface between the auditors and the specialist departments.
- Sustainable process and knowledge management: Following the audit, I systematically documented the results and coordinated the implementation of the measures derived. My work concluded with structured training and the complete handover of all processes and responsibilities to the newly hired quality manager to ensure the sustainability of the improvements introduced.
Project impact:
The pragmatic and goal-oriented modernization of the QM system successfully confirmed DAkkS accreditation. I initiated an important shift from traditional structures to a digital, process-oriented QM landscape , thereby laying a solid foundation for the company's future quality work.
